Our most recently completed project is a commercial space in Manhattan’s Grand Mere area. The Bank of the Flint Hills expanded into the West side of Manhattan with a vision for modern banking.

This was a new construction project and we provided full-service design, plus furnishings. AsterHouse designed and sourced all of the flooring, cabinets, lighting, windows, fireplace, furniture, art, and wall coverings.

Our client’s goal in this project was to create a modern living room feeling inside this bank. The “bank family,” as they call themselves, has an open and friendly attitude, and desired the same for their new space. Each office has floor to ceiling windows to maintain the open space. The waiting area looks more like a living room than a business.

The bank will also include an open-to-the-public coffee shop – bringing a much desired drive-thru to the area. The coffee shop photos will come in another post…

Many people believe that modern cannot feel comfortable and welcoming, but we disagree. Contrasting each modern element with a warm piece brings this space together to achieve the client’s goal. And we love it!
